I thought some might be interested in reading some more about "email etiquette" or commonly known as "netiquette". I have compiled some of the information I know about it.
While the above resources are somewhat formal in nature and can be used to train coworkers on the proper used on internet communication; there are several more informal references which can be found across the internet. Here are some that encompass the basics on netiquette:

- The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) develops and promotes Internet standards, a Request for Comments (RFC) document has been created to detail the proper use of some internet communication technologies. The RFC is numbered 1855 and the following link contains its guidelines: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1855.
- There is also a book titled: Netiquette by Virginia Shea, which has plenty of information regarding this issue, for those that want to read more detail about particular use of an internet technology.
